Yoga Jam with Danielle & Lisa

With Danielle Clarkesmith & Lisa Duong: A hip and funky workshop that will challenge you at the same time as leaving you calm and centred. 

Opening with a little philosophy and chanting, then moving onto a challenging, dynamic but magical flow, we'll learn to stabilise and strengthen the body while also learning to grow our practise. We will end the workshop by connecting everything together mindfully and balancing it all out with a little yin. 

This workshop is perfect for those wanting to look a little deeper into yoga and those looking to strengthen and improve their practise. As this class will be strong, some yoga experience is preferred but not essential. 

They say opposites attract and it's Danielle and Lisa's differences that make them work well together; combining the old and the new and the yin and yang. Whilst following different paths in yoga, from the tradition of Ashtanga to the more modern Strala approach, Lisa and Danielle met during their teaching training and found a common ground through their love for dynamic yoga. As their practise and friendship evolved, they both found a need for balance, mindfulness and restorative practices. These were the tools they were able to draw from post-injury and when faced with life's challenges. They both love an integrative approach that is fun and playful because that's when we start to make real changes, when we enjoy what we do so much that we do it every day.

Ashtanga Basics for Beginners & Improvers

With Danielle Clarkesmith: Join us for this Ashtanga Basics workshop , two hours of going back to basics for those that have never done as well as those who would like to do a little better, or know a little more.


Ashtanga is a traditional form of yoga - a great blend of physical postures and breathing exercise that become a moving mindfulness practice.


If you don't think you're strong enough or fit enough - perfect. We start from where we are, and we get strong and fit because we show up.

A Chartered Health Psychologist by day, Danielle is fascinated with the mind-body connection and interweaves mindfulness practices in her teaching. She has practiced different styles of yoga for over 10 years, but when she found Ashtanga she instantly fell in love with the strong and meditative practice. She began daily Mysore practice, which has transformed her understanding of yoga. In 2016 Danielle completed David Swenson’s Ashtanga Teacher Training. Since then she has worked alongside her teacher Ben Beswick to improve her yoga assists and teaching skills. Danielle believes in the therapeutic qualities of regular yoga practice and loves sharing this with others.

Better Backbends

With Lisa Duong : Instead of throwing our bodies into gymnastic/contortion skills, in this extended class, we'll dive deeper into what it takes to truly go deeper into our back bends without compromising the integrity of the pose.

Combining flexibility, dynamics and power. If you'd like to learn how to go deeper into back bending or would like to know where to start, then let's take the first step together in this class.

Wherever you are, breathe easy, feel your edge but never feel like you can't do anything. (Not suitable for those with back injuries.)

Originally from a PR background and having practised yoga for about 7 years, Lisa joined redkiteyoga after graduating from our first 200-hour teacher-training. Lisa likes to teach her students that like everything in life, yoga is not easy. Through patience, faith and dedication, Lisa teaches her students to learn to settle the mind and breathe easy.

Yin-Yang Summer Class - Heart Focus

With Alex Belcourt: Summer is a time for play and relaxation and in the tradition of Yoga, it's the season of the heart! 

Join Alex for an extended class for a balancing yoga practice mixing slow, gentle movements for the joints with active, dynamic flow.

There will be a focus on backbending to mobilise the spine and energise the chest area. A healthy heart needs regular stimulation but it is also more vulnerable in the summer, so we will practice with mindfulness. 

This class is for all levels but some yoga experience is preferred or good basic physical fitness.  

Originally an actor by profession, Alex has been practising yoga for over twenty years and teaching full time since 2008. She is an authorised teacher of Insight Yoga a practice that bridges yoga with buddhist meditation and psychology.
