I first discovered yoga whilst working as a Graduate Technical Designer for British Airways in London, practising for years alongside my professional career with classes in Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Jivamukti. In 2009, I took a career sabbatical, travelled to Goa in India, qualified in Yoga & Ayurveda and have been teaching ever since.
Between 2010 and 2018 I created a pop-up studio in Worcestershire, the county I grew up in, under my brand name redkiteyoga. Here I designed and delivered classes, workshops and day retreats. redkiteyoga also held two 200 hr Yoga Teacher trainings, led by my friend and colleague, Ian Davis of Orange Yoga. During 2014, I also trained in pre & post natal yoga and this has become my passion and specialism.
I’m now a wife and mother in the Cotswolds and have been practising yoga during three decades of my life. During this time yoga has given so much from healing my runners knees to lifelong friendships, a strong supple body and a way to unwind a busy mind.
As a teacher I have worked on group and private classes for my own studio, other dedicated yoga studios, a hot yoga studio, leisure centres, sixth form colleges and a University. I have also written and presented on pre and post natal yoga for yoga teacher training courses. I continue to attend workshops and classes as both a student and teacher of yoga and am currently working on my portfolio to become registered as a Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance UK.
I have a valid DBS check certificate and update my first aid certificate regularly.
Thank you for visiting redkiteyoga
